Sizing & Fit Guide
Sizing & Fit Guide
Riding gear doesn't always fit like everyday clothing, and sizing varies by brand. Use these tips along with the manufacturer's size chart on each product page.
Helmets
- Measure around your head about 1 inch above your eyebrows, keeping the tape level. Use that measurement with the brand's size chart.
- A new helmet should feel snug all around with no pressure points — the pads break in over time.
- If you're between sizes, try the smaller size first. A loose helmet is less safe.
Snowmobile jackets & bibs
- Leave room for base and mid layers. Many riders size up if they're between sizes.
- Check sleeve length in a riding position — arms forward on the bars.
- Bibs should allow full knee bend without pulling at the shoulders.
Gloves
- Measure around your palm at the widest point (not including the thumb) and compare to the brand's chart.
- Gloves should be snug without restricting finger movement on the throttle and brake.
Motocross jerseys & pants
- Jerseys are cut roomy to fit over chest protectors — order your normal shirt size or check the chart.
- Pants use waist sizes (28, 30, 32...). Measure your waist where the pants will sit.
Boots
- Most riding boots fit close to your regular shoe size. Wear riding socks when trying them on.
Youth sizes
- Kids grow fast — but protective gear like helmets and boots should fit correctly now, not "to grow into."
