The included MLS head gasket uses a multi-layer steel construction to promote even torque distribution across the sealing surface. The outer layers are embossed and coated with Viton rubber to provide dependable sealing in high-temperature, high-pressure operating conditions.
Cometic’s EST, or Extreme Sealing Technology, construction incorporates embossed stainless steel head, base, and rocker gaskets covered with a proprietary rubber material. The head gasket material helps draw heat away from the combustion ring and distribute it evenly across the gasket surface, helping reduce hot spots and the risk of gasket failure.
