Galfer Floating Brake Rotor (DF298FRW)

Upgrade braking performance with the Galfer DF298FRW Floating Brake Rotor, engineered for consistent, reliable stopping power in demanding road conditions. Built from 420 high-carbon stainless Tier-1 steel, this rotor delivers excellent strength, durability, and resistance to heat-related performance loss. Its floating construction helps support stable braking performance during repeated or aggressive use.
Each Galfer DF298FRW rotor is laser-cut rather than stamped, then heat-treated and double-disc parallel ground for precise flatness and dependable contact with the brake pads. This manufacturing process promotes smooth engagement, consistent pedal feel, and long-term rotor performance. The design also helps lower operating temperatures in extreme conditions while weighing less than a typical stock rotor, supporting responsive handling and reduced unsprung weight.
The non-directional design allows the Galfer DF298FRW Floating Brake Rotor to be used on either the right- or left-side application, simplifying installation and fitment. For maximum braking performance and rotor longevity, Galfer recommends pairing this rotor with Galfer brake pads. It is a practical choice for riders seeking dependable braking control, reduced heat buildup, and durable performance for everyday riding or demanding road conditions.
