ProX 520 MXR X-Ring Clip Connecting Link (07.RC520XCL)

The PROX 520 MXR X-Ring Clip Connecting Link is designed for dependable chain maintenance and secure installation on compatible 520-size motorcycle chains. Part number 07.RC520XCL combines a durable construction with precision-focused manufacturing to support reliable performance in motocross, off-road, and other demanding riding applications. Its clip-style design allows for practical replacement and service when a connecting link is needed.
Constructed using Japanese steel, the PROX 520 MXR connecting link is built to withstand the loads and operating conditions associated with high-performance motorcycle chain systems. Surface-treated and hardened pins improve wear resistance, while heat-treated plates, bushings, and rollers help provide consistent strength throughout the link assembly. Shot-peened rollers add strength and stress resistance, supporting durability under repeated chain movement and impact.
An X-ring design helps retain lubrication more effectively than standard sealing configurations, contributing to extended service life and smoother chain operation. PROX states that the X-ring can offer 150% or more chain life compared with conventional designs when properly installed and maintained. The weight-optimized construction helps reduce unnecessary mass without compromising the link’s intended strength. Verify chain size, link style, and manufacturer compatibility before installation, and follow the chain maker’s recommended fitting and clip orientation procedures.
