Vertex Piston Kit, 88.95 mm for Honda CR500R (22447)

The Vertex 22447 Piston Kit is designed as a cast original-equipment replacement for Honda CR500R applications. Manufactured from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content, this piston provides a dependable combination of strength, wear resistance, and consistent performance for engine rebuilding or replacement needs. Its OE-style construction supports reliable fitment and helps restore proper engine operation.
The piston is heat treated using a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle to improve durability under demanding operating conditions. Its skirt features a high-tech molybdenum disulfide coating that helps reduce friction, promote faster break-in, and extend piston service life. This coating also supports smooth piston movement during initial operation, making the kit well suited for performance-focused maintenance and engine refurbishment.
This Vertex piston kit includes the essential components needed for installation, including the piston, piston rings, wrist pin, and circlips. The 88.95 mm piston size is engineered for compatible Honda CR500R applications, but users should confirm model-year fitment and required clearances before installation. With Vertex part number 22447, this kit offers a practical replacement solution for riders, technicians, and engine builders seeking dependable aftermarket components.
