Vertex Piston Kit for Honda CR80R/RB, 46.95 mm (22499B)

The Vertex 22499B Piston Kit is designed as a cast original-equipment replacement for Honda CR80R and CR80RB motorcycles. Built from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with an 18% silicone content, this piston is engineered to provide dependable performance and compatibility for engine rebuilds and top-end service. The kit includes the key components needed for installation, including the piston, piston rings, wrist pin, and circlips.
The piston is heat treated using a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle to support strength, durability, and consistent operation under demanding riding conditions. Its skirt features a high-tech molybdenum disulfide coating that helps promote faster break-in and can contribute to extended piston life. This coating also supports smooth piston movement during initial operation, helping reduce friction as the new components seat.
As a Vertex replacement component, part number 22499B is intended for riders, technicians, and powersports enthusiasts seeking a carefully engineered piston kit for Honda CR80R/RB applications. Use this kit when refreshing the top end or replacing worn piston components, and always verify vehicle fitment and installation specifications before assembly. Follow the motorcycle manufacturer’s service procedures and use appropriate tools to ensure correct ring placement, wrist pin installation, and circlip retention.
