Vertex Piston Kit, 1.868 in Bore for Suzuki RM80 (22501B)

Restore dependable engine performance with the Vertex 22501B Piston Kit, designed as a cast OE replacement for the Suzuki RM80. This complete piston assembly provides the essential components needed for a piston replacement and is manufactured from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content for a balance of strength, durability, and reliable operation. The kit is engineered to support proper fitment and consistent performance in compatible Suzuki RM80 applications.
The piston receives a T-5 heat-treating cycle that combines hardening and tempering to improve material durability under demanding engine conditions. Its skirt is finished with a high-tech molybdenum disulfide coating, helping reduce friction during initial operation for faster break-in and supporting extended piston service life. This coating also promotes smooth movement within the cylinder when the engine is properly assembled and lubricated.
Each Vertex 22501B kit includes the piston, piston rings, wrist pin, and circlips, providing the key replacement parts required for installation. As a cast OE replacement piston rather than a forged design, it is intended for applications where dependable replacement performance and compatibility are priorities. Verify the Suzuki RM80 model year, cylinder specifications, and service requirements before installation to ensure correct fitment and proper engine assembly.
