Vertex Forged Piston Kit for Honda CRF250R/X, 3.069 in (22983B)

The Vertex 22983B Piston Kit is a forged OE replacement designed for Honda CRF250R and CRF250X applications. Built to support reliable engine performance, this replica piston is manufactured for a precise fit and dependable service in demanding off-road and motocross environments. The forged construction provides the strength needed for repeated high-load operation while maintaining the quality expected from Vertex replacement engine components.
The piston is heat-treated using an A-T5 hardening and tempering cycle to improve durability and resistance to operating stresses. Its skirt features a molybdenum disulfide coating that helps reduce friction during initial operation, supports faster break-in, and contributes to extended piston life. These treatments help promote consistent movement within the cylinder and dependable performance throughout the piston’s service life.
This Vertex replacement kit includes the piston, piston rings, wrist pin, and circlips, providing the primary components needed for installation. The replica piston and included rings are designed as OEM replacements for convenient engine rebuilding and maintenance. Always verify vehicle fitment, cylinder condition, and required clearances before installation to help ensure proper performance and longevity.
