Vertex Piston Kit, 55.96 mm for KTM 144SX, 150SX and 150XC (23383B)

The Vertex 23383B Piston Kit is a cast OE replacement designed for select KTM 144SX, 150SX and 150XC two-stroke applications. Manufactured from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content, this piston provides a dependable replacement solution for riders and technicians seeking consistent fit, performance and service life. The kit is designed to restore engine function while maintaining the characteristics expected from an original-equipment-style piston assembly.
The piston is heat treated using a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle to improve material strength and durability under demanding engine conditions. Its skirt features a high-tech molybdenum disulfide coating that promotes faster break-in and helps support extended piston life. This coating also contributes to smooth piston movement during initial operation, making the kit well suited for maintenance, rebuild and replacement applications.
Each Vertex 23383B kit includes the piston, piston rings, wrist pin and circlips needed for installation. With its application-specific design and included components, it offers a convenient solution for replacing worn or damaged internal engine parts. Confirm model year, engine specifications and fitment before installation to ensure compatibility with your KTM motorcycle.
