Vertex Piston Kit, 77.97 mm for Husaberg, Husqvarna and KTM (23870B)

Upgrade engine performance and durability with the Vertex 23870B Piston Kit, engineered for select Husaberg, Husqvarna, and KTM applications. This high-compression piston features a T-bridge design and a unique shot-peened dome to support strength under demanding operating conditions. The 77.97 mm piston is designed for reliable performance in high-performance off-road and powersports engines.
The piston skirt is coated with high-tech molybdenum disulfide, helping promote faster break-in and increased piston service life. This specialized coating supports smooth initial operation by reducing friction between the piston and cylinder wall. The piston is also heat-treated using a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle, enhancing material strength and helping it withstand repeated heat and load cycles.
The Vertex 23870B kit includes a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coated wrist pin and nitride-coated piston rings. DLC treatment helps improve wear resistance on the wrist pin, while the nitride coating on the ring set is designed to support durability and consistent sealing. Built for riders and technicians who demand dependable replacement components, this Vertex piston kit provides a carefully engineered solution for maintaining or enhancing compatible Husaberg, Husqvarna, and KTM engines. Verify application compatibility before installation.
