Vertex Piston Kit, 96.94 mm for Yamaha (23958B)

The Vertex 23958B Piston Kit is a forged original-equipment replacement designed for select Yamaha applications. Built to support dependable engine performance, this replica piston matches the fit and function expected from an OEM replacement component while providing a practical solution for engine rebuilding and top-end service. The kit includes the primary components needed for installation, helping streamline replacement work and maintain proper piston assembly.
The piston is heat-treated using an AT-5 hardening and tempering cycle to enhance durability and resistance to the demanding conditions inside a performance engine. Its skirt features a molybdenum disulfide coating that helps promote faster break-in and contributes to extended piston life. This coating supports smoother initial operation while helping reduce friction during the early stages of service.
Each Vertex Piston Kit includes the forged piston, piston rings, wrist pin, and circlips. The piston and included rings are designed as OEM replacement components, making the kit suitable for restoring the top end of compatible Yamaha engines. With its precise 96.94 mm piston size, forged construction, heat treatment, and coated skirt, the Vertex 23958B provides a complete replacement package for professional technicians and powersports enthusiasts seeking reliable engine service parts.
