Vertex Forged Piston Kit, 77.96 mm for GasGas, Husqvarna and KTM (24097A)

The Vertex 24097A Piston Kit is a forged original-equipment replacement designed for select GasGas, Husqvarna and KTM engines. Built to OEM replacement specifications, this kit provides a dependable fit and performance solution for engine rebuilding, maintenance and top-end service. The forged piston is engineered for strength and durability under demanding operating conditions.
The piston undergoes a T-5 heat-treatment hardening and tempering cycle to help improve material performance and long-term reliability. Its skirt features a molybdenum disulfide coating that promotes faster break-in and helps reduce friction during initial operation. This surface treatment supports smooth piston movement while contributing to extended piston life when installed and maintained according to the engine manufacturer’s requirements.
The Vertex 24097A kit includes the essential components needed for installation: piston, piston rings, wrist pin and circlips. The piston and included rings are manufactured as OEM replacement components, making this kit a practical choice for restoring proper compression and renewing the top end. Verify engine compatibility and installation specifications before ordering to ensure the correct application for your motorcycle.
