Vertex Forged Replica Piston Kit, 77.97 mm for GasGas, Husqvarna and KTM (24097B)

The Vertex 24097B Piston Kit is a forged OE-replacement solution designed for select GasGas, Husqvarna and KTM engines. Built to replicate original-equipment specifications, this piston supports dependable performance, consistent fitment and long-term durability for engine rebuilds and maintenance applications. The kit provides the key components needed to replace a worn or damaged piston using trusted Vertex engineering.
The piston is heat-treated through an AT-5 hardening and tempering cycle to improve strength and resistance to operating stress. Its skirt features a molybdenum disulfide coating that helps promote faster break-in while reducing friction during initial operation. This coating also contributes to extended piston life and smooth movement within the cylinder, making the Vertex forged piston a practical choice for riders and technicians seeking reliable OE-style replacement performance.
The Vertex 24097B kit includes the forged piston, piston rings, wrist pin and circlips. The piston and included rings are designed as OEM replacements, helping simplify installation during a top-end service or complete engine rebuild. Verify engine compatibility and application details before installation to ensure the correct replacement for your GasGas, Husqvarna or KTM model.
