Vertex Forged Piston Kit for Honda CRF450R/RX, 95.96 mm (24187A)

The Vertex 24187A Piston Kit is a forged original-equipment replacement designed for Honda CRF450R and CRF450RX applications. Manufactured to support dependable engine performance, this replica piston provides a precision replacement option for rebuilding or servicing the top end of compatible engines. Vertex combines OE-replacement design with durable materials and performance-focused surface treatments for confident installation and long service life.
The piston is heat-treated using an AT-5 hardening and tempering cycle to improve strength and durability under demanding operating conditions. Its skirt features a molybdenum disulfide coating that helps reduce friction during initial operation, supports faster break-in, and contributes to increased piston life. This coating works with the piston’s forged construction to promote smooth movement and reliable performance throughout the engine’s operating range.
This complete Vertex piston kit includes the forged piston, piston rings, wrist pin, and circlips required for installation. The piston and included rings are designed as OEM replacements, helping simplify top-end service while maintaining compatibility with the specified Honda models. Verify engine year, application, and required piston specification before installation to ensure proper fitment and assembly.
