Vertex Piston Kit, 46.95 mm for Gas Gas, Husqvarna and KTM (24212B)

The Vertex 24212B Piston Kit is a cast original-equipment replacement designed for select Gas Gas, Husqvarna, and KTM engines. Manufactured from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with an 18% silicon content, this piston provides a reliable balance of strength, durability, and performance for engine rebuilding or replacement applications. Its 46.95 mm piston size supports accurate fitment when matched to the correct engine specifications.
The piston is heat treated using a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle to improve material performance under demanding operating conditions. A high-tech molybdenum disulfide coating on the piston skirt helps reduce friction during initial operation, supports faster break-in, and contributes to extended piston service life. This OE-style cast construction is engineered for dependable use in compatible powersports applications.
The Vertex 24212B kit includes the essential components needed for installation, including the piston, piston rings, wrist pin, and circlips. Verify engine model, year, bore specification, and manufacturer application details before installation to ensure proper compatibility. Follow the engine manufacturer’s service procedures for ring positioning, clearances, lubrication, and break-in.
