Vertex Forged High-Compression Piston Kit for Yamaha YZ250F, 76.95 mm (24220A)

The Vertex 24220A piston kit is designed for Yamaha YZ250F engines requiring a durable, high-performance replacement piston. Its forged high-compression construction helps improve power and torque throughout the engine’s RPM range while providing the strength needed for demanding motocross and off-road riding. The kit is engineered to support reliable performance and consistent operation during hard use.
The piston receives a heat-treated T-5 hardening and tempering cycle to enhance durability and resistance to operating stresses. Its piston skirt features a high-tech molybdenum disulfide coating that promotes faster break-in and helps reduce friction during initial operation. This coating also supports long-term piston life by improving wear resistance and smooth movement within the cylinder.
The Vertex 24220A kit includes the essential components for installation: the forged piston, piston rings, wrist pin, and circlips. Designed as a direct-fit application for the Yamaha YZ250F, this kit provides a convenient solution for engine rebuilding or performance-focused maintenance. Verify engine compatibility and required piston clearance before installation to ensure proper fit and performance.
