Vertex GP-Style Piston Kit, 53.94 mm for GasGas, Husqvarna and KTM (24243A)

The Vertex 24243A piston kit is designed for select GasGas, Husqvarna and KTM applications requiring a 53.94 mm piston. This GP-style racing piston uses gravity-cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content to provide a lightweight, durable foundation for high-performance two-stroke engine use. Its single compression-ring design supports efficient operation and is suited to applications where reduced friction and responsive performance are priorities.
The piston is heat-treated using a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle to improve strength and durability under demanding operating conditions. The piston skirt features a high-tech molybdenum disulfide coating that helps promote faster break-in and contributes to extended piston life. This coating is designed to reduce friction during initial operation while supporting smooth movement within the cylinder.
The Vertex 24243A kit includes the essential components needed for piston replacement, including the piston, compression ring, wrist pin and circlips. It is a practical choice for maintaining engine performance during rebuilds or scheduled service. Verify vehicle, engine and year compatibility before installation to ensure the correct fit and proper application.
