Vertex 57.95 mm GP-Style Forged Piston Kit for KTM 125 EXC/SX (23384400)

The Vertex piston kit, Part 23384400, is designed for KTM 125 EXC and SX applications requiring a high-performance replacement piston. This unique forged GP-style race piston features a single compression ring configuration to support efficient operation and competition-focused performance. Its precision-engineered construction provides a dependable fit and helps restore proper engine function during an engine rebuild or top-end service.
The piston is heat-treated using a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle for improved strength and durability under demanding operating conditions. The piston skirt is coated with a high-tech molybdenum disulfide treatment that helps reduce friction during initial operation, promotes faster break-in, and supports extended piston life. This coating is especially beneficial when careful component protection and smooth early service are priorities.
The Vertex 23384400 piston kit includes the essential components needed for installation, including the forged piston, piston rings, wrist pin, and circlips. Verify application details and engine compatibility before installation, and follow the manufacturer’s recommended clearance, break-in, and assembly procedures. This kit is a practical choice for KTM 125 EXC and SX riders, racers, and technicians seeking a purpose-built Vertex replacement piston with performance-oriented features.
