Vertex Top End Piston Kit, 66.35 mm for KTM EXC250 (VTK22650B-2)

The Vertex VTK22650B-2 Top End Piston Kit is a cast original-equipment replacement solution for compatible KTM EXC250 applications. Designed for dependable top-end service, this kit includes the essential components needed to replace the piston assembly and refresh the cylinder top end. The 66.35 mm piston is gravity-cast from an aluminum alloy containing 18% silicon, providing a durable and consistent foundation for reliable engine performance.
The piston is heat treated using a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle to support strength and durability under demanding operating conditions. Its skirt features a high-tech molybdenum disulfide coating, which promotes faster break-in and helps reduce friction during initial operation. This coating also contributes to extended piston life when the engine is properly assembled, lubricated, and maintained according to manufacturer recommendations.
The Vertex VTK22650B-2 kit is supplied with a piston, piston rings, wrist pin, circlips, top-end gaskets, and wrist pin bearing. By packaging these key components together, it helps streamline top-end replacement and supports a thorough repair rather than replacing individual parts separately. Verify engine compatibility and service requirements before installation to ensure the correct fit and proper assembly.
