Vertex Top End Piston Kit, 48.45 mm for Kawasaki KX85 (VTK22803B)

Upgrade the top end of your Kawasaki KX85 with the Vertex VTK22803B Top End Piston Kit. Designed as a cast OE replacement, this kit provides a practical solution for restoring engine performance and supporting dependable service. The piston is manufactured from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content, offering a balance of durability, consistent operation, and compatibility with the original engine configuration.
The piston receives a T-5 heat-treating and tempering cycle to improve material strength and durability under demanding riding conditions. Its skirt is finished with a high-tech molybdenum disulfide coating that helps promote faster break-in and may contribute to extended piston life. This coating supports smooth initial operation while helping reduce friction during the critical break-in period.
The Vertex VTK22803B kit includes the essential components needed for a complete top-end piston replacement, including the piston, piston rings, wrist pins, circlips, top-end gaskets, and a wrist pin bearing. Each component is selected to work together for a straightforward replacement and reliable engine refresh. Verify model and application details before installation to ensure proper fitment for your Kawasaki KX85.
