Vertex Top End Piston Kit for Suzuki RM85/L, 47.95 mm (VTK22877B)

The Vertex VTK22877B Top End Piston Kit is designed as a cast OE replacement for Suzuki RM85/L applications. Manufactured from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with an 18% silicone content, this piston provides a reliable balance of strength, durability, and performance for top-end engine service. Its 47.95 mm piston size is engineered for compatible Suzuki RM85/L engine configurations.
The piston receives a T-5 heat-treating and tempering cycle to improve material durability and dimensional stability during operation. A high-tech molybdenum disulfide coating on the piston skirt helps reduce friction during initial operation, supports faster break-in, and contributes to extended piston life. This coating works with the piston’s cast aluminum construction to promote smooth movement and dependable performance in demanding riding conditions.
The Vertex VTK22877B kit includes the essential components for a complete top-end piston replacement, including the piston, piston rings, wrist pins, circlips, top-end gaskets, and wrist pin bearing. Supplying these components together helps simplify installation and supports proper servicing of the compatible Suzuki RM85/L engine. Verify vehicle and engine compatibility before installation, and follow the manufacturer’s recommended assembly, clearance, and break-in procedures.
