Vertex Top End Piston Kit, 2.832 in. for Gas Gas, Husqvarna and KTM (VTK24244C-1)

The VERTEX VTK24244C-1 Top End Piston Kit is designed as a reliable cast OE replacement for select Gas Gas, Husqvarna, and KTM motorcycles. Manufactured from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content, this piston provides dependable performance and consistent operation for engine rebuilds and top-end service. Its cast construction is engineered to match original-equipment replacement requirements while supporting durability in demanding riding conditions.
The piston receives a T-5 heat-treating, hardening, and tempering cycle to improve strength and service life. A high-tech molybdenum disulfide coating on the piston skirt helps reduce friction during initial operation, promotes faster break-in, and supports extended piston life. This coating also contributes to smooth piston movement within the cylinder during normal engine operation.
This complete VERTEX top-end kit includes the piston, piston rings, wrist pins, circlips, top-end gaskets, and wrist pin bearing, providing the primary components needed for a thorough piston replacement. Each component is selected to work together for efficient installation and dependable sealing. Refer to the motorcycle manufacturer’s service information to confirm application compatibility and installation procedures before beginning service.
