Developed through research and dyno testing, the Wiseco RE805M09500 piston kit is engineered to deliver strong power gains, responsive throttle control and dependable performance in demanding off-road applications. Its high-compression design is rated at 14:1 for 450cc engines and 14.5:1 for 250cc engines, helping maximize torque and throttle response. The optimized dome shape promotes efficient flame travel for more complete air and fuel combustion.
The piston is manufactured from billet material for an excellent strength-to-weight balance and precise fit. An asymmetric skirt design helps improve wear characteristics while distributing loading more evenly across the major thrust surface. Wiseco’s custom-lapped compression ring is designed for a precise fit to support power production, while the pressure seal groove helps reduce ring lifting and minimize power loss. ArmorGlide® skirt coating reduces friction, supports quieter operation and improves resistance to scuffing.
Additional performance features include a DLC-coated piston pin that reduces friction and improves scuff resistance, plus enhanced pin oiling for better lubrication. The Wiseco RE805M09500 kit includes the piston, rings, piston pin and circlips for a complete installation solution. Made in the USA, this piston kit is designed for select GasGas, Husqvarna and KTM applications requiring a 3.740-inch piston size.
